Author Guidelines

The Journal of Applied Mathematics, Informatics and Digital Art follows international publishing standards. Authors are required to prepare manuscripts according to the guidelines below.

Manuscript Formatting Rules

  • Manuscripts must be prepared in LaTeX (preferred) or MS Word (final conversion to LaTeX may be requested).
  • IEEE-style formatting is strongly recommended.
  • Papers should be structured in a clear two-column format (IEEE conference/journal style preferred).
  • Minimum paper length: 6 pages
  • Recommended maximum length: 12–15 pages (unless justified for survey papers)

Basic formatting requirements:

  • Font: Times New Roman (or LaTeX default Computer Modern)
  • Title: Concise and informative
  • Abstract: 150–250 words
  • Keywords: 4–6 keywords
  • Standard section numbering: 1, 1.1, 1.2, etc.

Submission Structure

Manuscripts must include the following sections:

  1. Title
  2. Abstract
  3. Keywords
  4. Introduction
  5. Related Work / Literature Review
  6. Methodology
  7. Implementation / System Design (if applicable)
  8. Results and Discussion
  9. Conclusion and Future Work
  10. References

Optional (if applicable):

  • Acknowledgements
  • Limitations
  • Data Availability Statement
  • Ethics Statement
  • Conflict of Interest
  • Contributions

Citation Style (IEEE Standard)

The journal strictly follows the IEEE citation style.

In-text citation format:

  • Use numbered citations in square brackets:
    Example: as shown in [1], [2]

Reference format:

  • References must follow IEEE format strictly:

[1] J. Smith, A. Brown, "Deep Learning in IoT Systems," IEEE Transactions on Neural Networks, vol. 34, no. 2, pp. 123–134, 2024.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 15–25 references for research papers
  • At least 30% of references should be from recent (last 5 years)
  • Strong preference for Scopus / Web of Science indexed sources

Figures and Tables

  • All figures must be high resolution (minimum 300 DPI)
  • Figures must be numbered sequentially: Fig. 1, Fig. 2, ...
  • Tables must be numbered: Table I, Table II, ... (IEEE style)
  • Each figure/table must have a clear caption
  • All figures and tables must be referenced in the text
  • Use vector formats where possible (PDF, SVG, EPS preferred)

Ethics Compliance Requirements

The journal follows COPE ethical guidelines. Authors must ensure:

  • Original work only (no plagiarism, self-plagiarism, or duplicate submission)
  • Proper citation of all sources
  • No fabricated or manipulated data
  • Disclosure of conflicts of interest
  • Proper acknowledgment of all contributors

All submissions are screened using plagiarism detection tools. Manuscripts exceeding acceptable similarity thresholds will be rejected.

AI Usage Policy

The journal recognizes the use of AI tools in research but enforces strict transparency.

Allowed:

  • Grammar correction and language polishing
  • Formatting assistance (LaTeX, references)
  • Code debugging support

Must be disclosed:

  • Use of generative AI in writing or content generation
  • Use of AI tools for data analysis or interpretation

Not allowed:

  • AI-generated scientific claims without human validation
  • AI-generated references or fabricated citations
  • Submission of fully AI-written manuscripts without author intellectual contribution

Disclosure requirement:

Authors must include an AI Usage Statement if any AI tools were used in preparation of the manuscript.

General Requirements

  • Submissions must be original and not under review elsewhere
  • Authors are responsible for accuracy of content
  • All accepted papers will be published under CC BY 4.0 license
  • Manuscripts must be submitted via the OJS submission system only
